John Lamirande
Executive Director
John grew up in Central Massachusetts and enlisted in the Air Force after high school, serving six and a half years in the Air National Guard. As a medic, he developed leadership and organizational skills and was named "Airman of the Year" in 1989. His military service also allowed him to begin a civilian career at Comcast in 1986, where he held various management roles for nearly 24 years.
In 2000, [Name] and his spouse moved to Gloucester, Massachusetts, where they launched Beach Gourmet, a successful catering business. What started as a weekend venture quickly became the most sought-after catering service on Cape Ann, leading to deeper community involvement.
In 2009, after taking on the responsibility of caring for his aging mother-in-law, [Name] transitioned into the senior living industry. He joined Atria Senior Living as a Sales Director in 2014, and later moved to Northbridge Senior Living in 2015. Over the next nine years, he held multiple leadership positions, including Senior Executive Director overseeing the opening of The Mariner, an 87-apartment senior living community in Marblehead. In 2018, he was named Executive Director of the Year by the Massachusetts Assisted Living Association.
Currently, John serves as Executive Director at Delaney at the Vale in Woburn, Massachusetts, where he continues to apply his leadership expertise. He is married with adult sons and five grandchildren and enjoys walking the beach, exercising, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. At home, he’s greeted by his two Labradors, Ginger Rodgers and Fred Astaire
Alyson Harding
Associate Executive Director
Alyson has worked for the Delaney since October 2023 and Life Care Service since July 2018. She has worked in Senior Living Administration for the past 24 years (1999). She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University, a Master of Healthcare Administration from Franklin University, a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Ohio, a Licensed Nursing Care Institute Administrator in Arizona, and an Eden Certified Associate. She is responsible for assisting the Executive Director with overseeing the day-to-day operations and provide support to all departments. She enjoys all aspects of Senior Living Administration, especially in providing personal service that provides residents and families with peace of mind knowing they or their loved one receive the highest quality care and services.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her daughter, hiking with her dog Maya, volunteering at dog rescues, cooking/baking, pickleball, triathlons and following The Ohio State University athletic teams.
Pam Wright
Health, and Wellness Director
Pam has worked for The Delaney at the Vale since April of 2023, and in the senior living industry for the past seven years. As the Director of Health Servies, she is responsible for the overall coordination of health and wellness for our residents and to help them fulfill an enriching and independent life to the best of their ability. Pam enjoys senior living because she loves being able to make a difference in the lives of seniors. In her free time, she loves to travel, and especially loves spending time with family and friends on Cape Cod. She is also a huge fan of all Boston sports teams and love attending games.
Selena Depena
Business Office Manager
Selena has worked for The Delaney since April 2023. She has worked in senior living since April 2023. She is responsible for hiring, orientation, payroll, collecting rent, sending out statements, AP and more. She enjoys senior living because she feels she is making a difference in the lives of our staff to better care for our residents, but also helping make our families and residents' lives easier as well. In her free time, she likes to read, hang out with friends, go out to dinner, and sing. She has a Yorkie puppy named Ellie, who weighs only 5lbs. She hopes everyone will gets to meet her because when they will fall in love!
Maria Byrne
Sales and Marketing Director
Maria is new to The Delaney but not to senior living. In 1994 she joined the team opening a brand-new community in New Hampshire and never looked back. She has been involved with all phases of senior living communities but loves the opening phase when everyone is moving in and making new friends. She enjoys this exciting time when people come together from all over to share their stories and talents with new friends and neighbors. Maria lives in the seacoast area of New Hampshire but was born and raised in Melrose, MA very near to The Delaney; she is happy to be back in the 'old neighborhood'. Along with advising seniors and their families on the benefits of community living, Maria appreciates the opportunity to be a part of a great team who love what they do and demonstrate commitment and passion for serving residents every day. Maria loves to 'take to the woods' in Maine whenever possible to hike, ski and kayak with her family and yellow Lab!
Diane Robinson
Director of Community Relations
Diane has worked for The Delaney since February 2023. She have worked in senior living since fall 2008. She is responsible for supporting Delaney incoming residents during the process of evaluating their options for senior living, including choosing an apartment, and transitioning them into our community. Diane enjoys senior living because she considers this the best way for seniors to stay as independent as possible for as long as possible, but in a safe and social environment. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her “sweetheart,” her family and friends, golf, and travel. She enjoying watching good movies and the Bruins, in person when possible! Her secret wish is she would like to sit down and have a casual beer with Robert Redford.
Michael Vermette
Director of Food and Beverage
Michael is the Director of Culinary Services at the Delaney at the Vale in Woburn, MA. He has been in the food service industry for over 30 years since he got his first job washing dishes at a local restaurant. Ten years later, he found himself running the kitchen. Michael has been working in senior living for the last 15 years where he started as a cook and worked his way up to director. He enjoys working in senior living because he likes the bonds he gets to make with the residents and families. He feels it something that you can’t get from working in restaurants. Michael has been married for 8 years to his wife Ashley. They met at work where she was a server and he was a cook at the time. He grew up in Rowley, Ma. but now lives in Danvers, Ma.
Susan Rowlette
Director of Memory Care
Susan graduated from Boston College with a master’s degree in social work in 1999. In 2005, she was hired to launch the Care Consultation program at the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts New Hampshire Chapter. After 10 years she moved to Cambridge Health Alliance to start a team in primary care doing complex care management. In 2018, she went to Massachusetts General Hospital to design and launch the Dementia Care Collaborative for the Division of Palliative Care and Geriatric Medicine. In all three of these roles, she worked with those diagnosed with cognitive impairment and their families, but from a distance. This year, Susan has joined The Delaney in a new role as Director of Memory Care. This work brings her skills and expertise together and gives her great joy of working directly with our residents and families. Susan is an independent movie buff, and owner of 2 beautiful cats who make her laugh every day!
Kristyn Wennergren
Director of Resident Engagement
Kristyn has worked for The Delaney since Fall of 2023. She has worked in senior living since 2017. She is responsible for developing programming that help our residents maintain a strong quality of life. Here at The Vale, we focus on 8 Dimensions of Health and Wellness, which include social, vocational, emotional, spiritual and physical, to name a few! To meet this objective, she focuses on activities that are resident-driven, senior-centric, and diverse. She wants a calendar filled with fun, learning, travel, and exercise! She enjoys senior living because it allows her to help people continue pursuits that they enjoy. One of her best memories in senior living was bringing in an owl rescue company for a resident who had always dreamed of seeing one in person. Making those connections are fulfilling to her in a way that no other career has been. In her free time, she like to be at the beach, craft, read, hang out with her college aged kids. (When they have the time! ) She knows The Vale is going to be a wonderful place to live, as it is already an amazing place to work. She looks forward to the memories that we will all create together!
Alan Keating
Director of Plant Operations
Alan has been working for The Delaney since October 2023. I have been working in Senior Living for 7 years. He is responsible for Plant Operations (maintenance and housekeeping of community). He enjoys senior living because he loves seniors and always have! He loves getting to know people and hearing their life stories. In his free time, he enjoys motorcycles, boating, camping, golfing, and carpentry.
Patrick Leber
Move in Coordinator
Patrick has worked for The Delaney since January of 2024. He is new to senior living. He is the move-in coordinator at The Delaney at the Vale and is responsible for ensuring a smooth move-in process for all current and future residents. He enjoys senior living because of the social activities, companionship and opportunities for engagement that is brought back to our senior community. In his free time he enjoys snowboarding in the winter and hiking in the summer. Patick is about to be a newlywed and he also enjoy spending a lot of time with his golden retriever puppy!
